Raising the bar for grad proposals

KELOWNA – A student at Rutland Senior Secondary School has made it tough for all the other Grade 12 students out there by raising the bar on asking a date to grad.

Keith Errington arranged an elaborate proposal when he asked Alanna Tulman to the prom.

And of course there’s a video up on YouTube.

It opens with Errington saying he’s really nervous. He jokes, “I spent like 130 bucks on this proposal so I hope she says yes.”

The camera follows Tulman through the halls of RSS as she is handed roses with notes on them before she ends up in the commons area filled with pink and white balloons.

Errington’s co-conspirators hold up signs with letters that spell “Alanna, Prom?”

Through the tears, holding a bouquet of roses and a box of chocolates, Tulman says yes.

Don’t you love it when a plan comes together?
