RCMP say small brush fire in Coldstream deliberately set

RCMP investigators are looking for witnesses after a suspicious brush fire in Coldstream last month.

Emergency crews were called to the brush fire at Coldstream Creek Road and Grieve Drive at approximately 2 p.m. Friday, July 25, according to an RCMP media release issued today, Aug. 20.

RCMP said the intentionally set fire was contained to a gully between the roads in a wooded area near a neighbourhood.

“We believe there may be people who have information about this incident that haven’t come forward,” Vernon North Okanagan RCMP media relations officer Const. Chris Terleski said in the release.
