Kelowna Rockets blank visiting Warriors

KELOWNA – The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Moose Jaw Warriors 6-0 on Saturday night at Prospera Place, winning its second game of a three game homestand.

Rookie netminder Jake Morrissey earned his first career WHL shutout stopping all 28 shots he faced in the win as the Rockets improved to a WHL-best 44-9-3-1 on the season.

Tyson Baillie and Leon Draisaitl led the way offensively as both players scored twice and added two helpers apiece in the win.

Rockets captain Madison Bowey and defenceman Josh Morrissey also scored for the Rockets while Riley Stadel and Dillon Dube chipped in with two assists apiece.

The Rockets are now 2-0-0-0 on its three game homestand and will close it out on Wednesday night at Prospera Place when the Kamloops Blazers visit Kelowna.

Following that game the Rockets will head to Victoria for a pair of games next weekend.
