Cessna lands short of runway at Kelowna International Airport

A Cessna 172 training aircraft landed short of the Kelowna International Airport runway and in the grass, Sunday night.

"The lone occupant of the aircraft was treated by B.C. Ambulance for minor injuries and released," YLW said in a press release about the incident that happened at around 5 p.m. on Nov.1.

Due to the incident, YLW is experiencing delays in arriving and departing flights and the airport is fully operational.

Passengers should check their flight status at ylw.kelowna.ca.
