A beaver at a local park in Kamloops was caught noisily eating weeds for breakfast this week.
Kamloops wildlife photographer Peter Olsen was able to capture footage of the cute little critter he calls Barney, including its loud chewing sounds.
“Barney totally ignored me while feasting on the greenery,” he said. “I didn’t get too close since those two big teeth looked a little daunting. It wasn’t until he heard a dog bark that he waddled back into the slough.”
The beavers are a beloved feature at McArthur Island Park in Kamloops where they can be spotted swimming, snacking, building dams and sometimes falling trees.
