LANGLEY — British Columbia’s homicide investigators are looking into the fatal shooting of a person inside a taxi in Langley.
A statement from the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says RCMP responded to reports of a shooting on Friday night.
The statement says front-line officers found the victim who died at the scene.
Police say the shooting occurred while the victim was inside a taxi and there were no other reports of injures.
They say it’s too early to provide details about the victim or motive and that officers are still working to determine if the death has anything to do with gang conflict in the province.
They say officers are processing the scene, collecting evidence, conducting interviews and review CCTV footage.
