Person tests positive for COVID-19 at UBC Okanagan

A case of COVID-19 has been identified at the University of British Columbia's Okanagan campus.

An individual tested positive for the virus Nov. 11, according to an email from the Athletics and Recreation Department.

It is unclear whether the person was a student or staff member, but they are now in self-isolation. Not all UBC Okanagan students received the email.

"UBC Okanagan departments are supporting Interior Health’s investigation and contact tracing to determine if any other members of the community were in contact with the person who tested positive, and if any additional steps are required," Shelley Kayfish, Director of Campus Operations and Risk Management, said in the email.
