One arrest after stabbing on Kamloops’ North Shore

A woman was sent to hospital after she was stabbed in a fight and police have arrested a suspect.

Police were called to the 200-block of Tranquille Road because two women were fighting at 11 p.m. yesterday, Sept. 23, according to a press release from Kamloops RCMP.

A woman had been stabbed during the fight.

Several officers were on the scene and the suspect was caught nearby.

The victim was taken to hospital by BC Ambulance with serious injuries, but she’s expected to recover.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident and who has not yet spoken with investigators to please come forward,” Cpl. Dana Napier said in the release. “We are also asking businesses nearby to review their security footage around that time to help us further the investigation.”
