Someone in B.C. has a $31 million winning lottery ticket
Someone in B.C. matched all seven winning numbers to hit the $31 million jackpot last night.
The winning Lotto Max numbers last night, Sept. 23, were 8, 9, 23, 30, 38, 40 and 43.
The ticket was purchased online on PlayNow.com, which is the only legal gambling website in B.C., and the winner has 52 weeks to claim their money, according to a BC Lottery Corporation media release. The winner’s name will be announced after they claim their prize.
The odds of winning Lotto Max are 1 in 33,294,800 per $5 play.
So far this year B.C. lottery players have won more than $196 million from Lotto Max.
The most money ever won in the lottery in B.C. was $80 million back in May.
