COVID-19 exposures on two flights to Kelowna

The B.C. Centre for Disease Control is reporting that two flights travelling to Kelowna have had COVID-19 exposures.

The centre reported Nov. 18 that WestJet flight 3342 from Calgary to Kelowna affecting rows 16-20 had an exposure Nov. 9 and an exposure was also reported Nov. 11 on North Cariboo Air 1541 from Terrace to Kelowna.

If you are a close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case, Public Health contacts you directly to let you know. In cases where not everyone can be reached, regional health authorities post public exposure information online, according to the centre.

Passengers on a domestic flight with a COVID-19 case should self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days.

British Columbians have been advised to minimize travel within the province or outside of the province because of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the centre.
