Heavy snow expected on Coquihalla Highway tonight
It’s going to get messy on the Coquihalla Highway tonight with up to 25 centimetre of snow expected.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the stretch of Highway 5 from Merritt to Hope.
A moist and unstable airmass is to blame with flurries this afternoon, Nov. 19, turning to heavy snow. Accumulations at the Coquihalla Summit could reach 25 cm tonight.
The rapid snowfall could make driving a challenge and visibility could be suddenly reduced, Environment Canada says.
