West Kelowna winery temporarily shuts down due to COVID-19 case

A West Kelowna winery has temporarily closed its doors after it discovered one of its customers had COVID-19.

Mt. Boucherie Estate Winery announced on Nov. 20 that it will be closed for the next 48 hours since a customer tested positive for the virus and had lunch at the winery, Nov. 14.

"We are taking precautions to have staff tested and do a deep clean of the entire building," according to the winery's Facebook post.

The winery noted online sales are still available.

Today, there were 516 new cases reported in the last 24 hours in B.C. That’s down from 538 yesterday, Nov. 19, and far below the 762 on Wednesday and 717 on Tuesday.
