Flood damaged Vernon library offers basic services

VERNON – Though flooding at the Vernon Library Monday delayed book returns for a short spell, staff are working hard to service the public during restoration.

Anyone with a book to return or books on hold can get their business done in the branch foyer February 13-16, but anyone who received a call that a hold is ready for pick-up should wait two days to allow time for transit.

Programs at the Vernon branch are cancelled for the remainder of the week. Residents are reminded they are welcome to use other branches in the Okanagan Regional Library system and holds can still be placed over the internet. All other online library services are still available.

The hours of operation for returns and holds is as follows:

Thursday, February 13th: 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
Friday, February 14th: 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
Saturday, February 15th: 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
Sunday, February 16th: noon until 4:00 pm
