COVID-19 exposure at Salmon Arm high school

Salmon Arm has had its first school exposure of COVID-19.

"A member of our Salmon Arm Secondary (Sullivan) school community has tested positive for COVID-19. They are self-isolating at home with support from local public health teams," school principal Rob Cadden said in a notice posted to the school's website late Tuesday night, Nov. 24.

The potential exposure was Nov. 17 and 18, according to Interior Health.

Interior Health has notified School District No. 83 by email and phone calls have been made to those individuals required to self-monitor and those required to self-isolate, which means remain home, with school work provided remotely.

Those who have not been contacted by Interior Health or the school, were not potentially exposed.
