Another COVID-19 case confirmed at École KLO Middle School in Kelowna

École KLO Middle School in Kelowna has had another confirmed case of COVID-19.

Interior Health has confirmed a member of the middle school's community has tested positive for the virus, according to a Central Okanagan school district media release.

The person is self-isolating at home. Neither the school district nor Interior Health will say if the person is a student, parent or staff member.

The most recent potential exposure occurred on Nov. 17. There had been previous exposures at the school on Nov. 6, 9, 10 and 12.

"The safety and well-being of students, families, and staff remains our highest priority,” reads the release. “Central Okanagan Public Schools will continue to implement the strict health and safety protocols and procedures that are in place so students and staff can continue to attend school as safely as possible.”

The school district asks students and staff to stay home from school if they have any symptoms.
