Three members of a Kamloops family remain in hospital after a fire at their Kamloops home on the weekend.
Firefighters were called to a report of large amounts of smoke coming from a home in the 1300 block of Sitka Street at around 4:20 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18.
“All three residents were able to get out of the house, unfortunately they did suffer injuries as a result of the fire and remain in hospital in serious condition,” RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Dana Napier said in a media release.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by both police and the fire department, and RCMP added the investigation is still in the early stages.
Anyone with information about the fire has been asked to contact Kamloops RCMP 250-828-3000 and cite file 2025-34788.
