Two injured in motorcycle crash that closed Okanagan Connector

The RCMP is trying to find out more about a motorcycle crash that injured two people and closed the Okanagan Connector on Monday.

A blue Harley-Davidson with two people on it crashed on Highway 97C north of the junction with Highway 8 at 2:15 p.m. on Oct. 27, according to a press release from police.

The driver, a 37-year-old man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger, a 39-year-old Logan Lake woman, was hospitalized with life-altering, life-threatening injuries.

“Alcohol and speed are being investigated as contributing factors,” RCMP Cpl. Michael McLaughlin said in the release. “Police need your help to learn more about the motorcycle rider’s behaviour in the hours and minutes leading up to the collision.”

Anyone who saw the motorcycle rider before the crash, and anyone with dash camera footage, has been asked to call BC Highway Patrol at 250-828-3111 and quote file (2100) 2025-3634.
