15 Central Okanagan schools have COVID-19 exposures

Fifteen Central Okanagan schools have had COVID-19 exposures within the last two weeks.

The Central Okanagan school district has confirmed a COVID-19 case at Rutland Secondary School, today Dec. 5, the second COVID-19 case announced in recent days at the high school. 

The 15 schools with exposures include Kelowna Lakeside School, St. Joseph Elementary School, Rutland Rutland Senior Secondary, KLO Middle School, Quigley Elementary School, Mar Jok Elementary, Anne McClymont Elementary, Casorso Elementary, Watson Road Elementary, Okanagan Mission Secondary, Chute Lake Elementary, AS Matheson Elementary, Canyon Falls Middle School, Bankhead Elementary and South Kelowna Elementary.

The individual at RSS is self-isolating at home. Central Okanagan Public Schools asks anyone who has COVID-19 symptoms to stay home.

There are three schools with exposures in the Okanagan Skaha school district, at Giant's Head Elementary, Princess Margaret Secondary and Penticton Secondary.

Vernon also has two school exposures at Silver Star Elementary and W.L. Seaton Secondary School and Kamloops has also reported an exposure at Westsyde Secondary School.
