What’s happening this weekend in the Okanagan, Kamloops

November isn’t over yet! Here are the final events in Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton and Kamloops for the month.

KELOWNA

  • A Touch of Christmas – Head to the Kelowna Event Centre on Nov. 29 and 30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the ultimate Christmas shopping experience with over a hundred local vendors. Entry is $5 per adult and admission for children is free.
  • Annual Christmas Market – Grizzli Winery’s annual Christmas market takes place on Nov. 29 and 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This event is pet and kid friendly, with free entry.
  • Lake Country Holiday Variety Show – Kick off the holiday season with the fifth annual Lake Country Christmas Variety Show at the Creekside Theatre to support local children and their incredible talents. The event is on Nov. 29 and runs from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tickets are $30 each.
  • Third Annual German Market – Add some German traditions to your holiday season at the Gray Monk Estate Winery for their German Market on Nov. 29 and 30 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entry is free.
  • Welcome to Winter Market – Kick off the winter season with this all ages event on Nov. 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. the Big White Ski Resort. Entry is free.

VERNON

  • Sleigh All Day Market – Head to Kal Tire Place all weekend long for over a hundred vendors, live music, and more. On Nov. 28, the event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. On Nov 29, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Nov 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Entry is free.
  • Kalamalka Weavers and Spinners Guild Winter Market – Get involved with the local fibre community by watching live demonstrations, shopping with local vendors, and asking questions to guild members on Nov. 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m at the Halina Centre. Entry is free.
  • Farmstrong Cider Company’s Christmas Markets – Stop by the Farmstrong Cider Company for horse wagon rides, outdoor fire pits, and more on Nov. 29 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entry is free but shuttle rides to the location from the IPE Grounds in Armstrong are $5 cash per person.
  • Santa Brunch with Santa – Range Restaurant, Bar and Patio’s ‘Sunday Brunch with Santa’ is back, with it’s first date happening Nov. 30, with seating occurring between 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $72.05 each, with children’s tickets ranging in price by age.
  • Extraordinary Christmas Brunch Buffet – You won’t want to miss this festive brunch at The Edge Restaurant, located at The Rise Resort, on Nov. 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

PENTICTON

  • Sprinkle of Magic Downtown Penticton – Spend your Saturday at the second annual Sprinkle of Magic event that’s taking over Downtown Penticton. This event takes place across four activity hubs from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 29. Entry is free.
  • Artisan Christmas Market – Stop by Four Shadows Winery on Nov. 29 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. to sip and shop in their tasting room. Entry is free.
  • Grinch Tree Workshop – Bring holiday cheer to your home with this cypress tree centerpiece workshop at Sahara Garden Art Co. It takes place on Nov. 29, starting at 1 p.m., and tickets are $50.
  • Heritage Christmas Market – Wander through the scenic grounds of the Grist Mill and Gardens Historic Site on Nov. 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to enjoy local vendors, crafts for kids, live music, and more. Entry is by donation.
  • Pictures with Santa – This pet and kid friendly photoshoot with Santa is taking place at Abandoned Rail Brewing on Nov. 30 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Bring your own camera and a donation to snap your pictures with Santa. All proceeds go to Big Brothers Big Sisters.

KAMLOOPS

  • Kamloops Christmas Market – This event continues all week until Nov. 30 at the Heritage House. It’s a European-inspired winter market with a full event schedule. Stop by Friday, Nov. 28, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Nov. 29 and 30 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Entry is $5 a day if purchased in advance, $7 at the door, or $15 for a full festival pass. Children six and under enter for free.
  • A Christmas Carol: The Revenge of Tiny Tim – Catch this hilarious retelling of a holiday classic on Nov. 28 and 29 at TRU Old Main, starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 each.
  • Christmas Artisan Sale & Tea – This local art market will be joining the Kamloops Christmas Market at the Heritage House on Nov. 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entry is free.
  • BCSPCA Annual Holiday Craft Fair – This is the largest fair in Kamloops and it’s taking place on Nov. 30 at TRU CAC from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is a $2 admission fee at the door.
  • A Winter Serenade: Kamloops Baroque Orchestra – Welcome the season with classical music at St. Paul’s Cathedral on Nov. 30, starting at 2:30 p.m. General admission is $25, students are $15, and children twelve and under enter for free.
