Anyone who is familiar with Kelowna and the spray-tanned shenanigans of the reality show Jersey Shore understands why the Canadian version of the show was filmed in the Okanagan.
Paramount+ is releasing Canada Shore on Jan. 22. There are 18 spin-off shows from Jersey Shore, but this will be the first Canadian version, according to a press release from Paramount+.
Rumours about the MTV spinoff have been circulating since original Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was spotted in Kelowna over the summer.
Jersey Shore came out in 2009, and all these years later people still want to get a glimpse into the lives of party animals on beaches around the world. The other versions of the show take place in Australia, Latin America and all around the U.S.
Canada Shore features 10 roommates who are “ready to party, flirt harder, and turn every night into memories.”
They spent a summer in Kelowna that was “a whirlwind season of romance, friendships, and full-throttle fun.”
The brief biographies of each personality on the show have insights into what you might get to see from Christopher who is “inspired by icons like Kim Kardashian” to Gizelle who is “self-described as crazy, sexy, and cool.”
The show is going to be exclusively on Paramount+ in Canada, the U.S., U.K., Ireland and Australia.
“Produced by Insight Productions and filmed last summer on the shores of Kelowna, British Columbia, the series brings together ten bold and unapologetic Canadian singles for a whirlwind season of romance, friendships, and full-throttle fun,” the release reads.
