VERNON — Police say a British Columbia man has been arrested and charged with murder in the death of another man found dead in the province’s Okanagan region two years ago.
RCMP say Dale Christopher Lloyd Babiy is facing a second-degree murder charge and remains in police custody.
Police say the charge is linked to the case of 30-year-old Miguel Suzor, whose body was found on a forest service road near Vernon in the north Okanagan region.
Investigators say the body was discovered in July 2023 on a road for accessing nearby Proctor Lake, and the death was deemed suspicious.
Major crime investigators took over the case, and the resulting investigation led to the arrest and charge of the accused.
No additional details have been released on the case.
This report by The Canadian Press was first published Dec. 5, 2025.
