
Snowfall warnings in effect for Interior highways
Snowfall warnings are in effect for Highway 3 and the Trans-Canada Highway.
Snowfall between 15-20 centimetres are expected to fall on Highway 3 from Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass and along Highway 1 from Eagle Pass to Kootenay Pass, according to Environment Canada.
A frontal system will move across the B.C. Interior today, Dec. 19, spreading snow to the Kootenay Pass beginning late this afternoon. The snow will ease early on Sunday morning.
Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
Road conditions are available at Drive B.C.
