A look at where the Canadian teams stand in Thursday’s 2026 Major League Soccer SuperDraft:
Vancouver Whitecaps
The Whitecaps have all three of their draft picks (29th, 59th and 89th overall).
Toronto FC
Toronto sent its first-round pick to Colorado in January in order to add Neil Emblen and Jase Kim to Robin Fraser’s coaching staff. Its third-round pick went to Dallas via Montreal, which acquired the pick in exchange for allowing TFC to sign Malik Henry to a first-team deal. Montreal had drafted Henry in the second round (39th overall) of the 2024 draft.
That leaves Toronto with a second-round pick (36th overall).
CF Montreal
Montreal traded its first-round pick as well as Toronto’s third-round pick to FC Dallas on Dec. 9 for US$700,000 in general allocation money and Dallas’ second-round pick (46th overall).
Montreal sent its own second-round pick (33rd overall) and US$200,000 in general allocation money to Real Salt Lake in August in exchange for defender Bode Hidalgo.
That leaves Montreal with the second-round pick acquired from Dallas and its own third-round pick (63rd overall).
