Canada’s Andrew Longino wins bronze medal at World Cup halfpipe event

COPPER MOUNTAIN — Canada’s Andrew Longino won a bronze medal Saturday at a FIS Freeski World Cup halfpipe competition.

Longino, from Calgary, had a score of 84.00 points. Alex Ferreira won gold (91.50) and fellow American Hunter Hess took silver (89.00).

Britain’s Zoe Atkin won the women’s competition (89.25). Australia’s Indra Brown picked up silver (80.00) and China’s Kexin Zhang took bronze (77.50).
