iN PHOTOS: Scenes of a white Christmas in the Thompson-Okanagan

Dreams of a white Christmas came true this year after all, so long as you were in the right place.

Some in the Okanagan might have been lucky enough to get a dusting of snow this year, while Kamloops saw a Christmas Eve blanket of snow cast over the city.

Environment Canada forecasted a slim chance cities in the region would see Christmas snowfall in low-lying areas. Mountain passes and ski resorts have seen serious snow over the past few weeks, but the warm holiday season kept the it at bay for most of the Okanagan.

Kamloops was transformed on Christmas Eve while the city was sleeping, just in time for Saint Nick.
