MONTREAL — CF Montréal has signed forward Prince Owusu to a five-year contract extension, the team announced Friday.
The deal includes the 2026, 2027, 2027-28 seasons with options for the 2028-29 and 2029-30 campaigns, using targeted allocation money.
Owusu scored 17 goals across all competitions (13 in Major League Soccer, two in the Canadian Championship and two in Leagues Cup) in his first season with the club in 2025.
The 28-year-old was awarded CF Montréal’s Giuseppe-Saputo Trophy as the team’s MVP.
Owusu was originally acquired via trade with Toronto FC on Jan. 13, 2025.
He represented Germany at the under-15, U18 and U19 levels ahead of being called up to the Ghanaian national team for the first time last month.
