Police suspect foul play in the suspicious death of a man in Lake Country on Christmas Day.
Lake Country RCMP found Joseph Robert McCook, 43, deceased when officers responded to the 1600-block of Gatzke Road shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 25, according to a press release from police.
Members of the BC RCMP Major Crime Section was called to investigate McCook’s death and a photo of him has been released to help with the investigation.
According to court documents, McCook has a criminal record including drunk driving and driving while prohibited, but the last charge was from five years ago.
Police are asking anyone with information about the circumstances that led to his death to call the Major Crime Section information line at 1-877-987-8477.
