iN NUMBERS: British Columbians wish for more wealth than health in 2026

Money won’t solve all your problems, just most of them.

Research Co. asked British Columbians what they wanted in 2026, and wealth was above health and quality time with loved ones. So, scrap all those resolutions about self-improvement or actualization and focus on raking in the moola.

Here are the numbers:

• 39: Per cent of British Columbians said they’re hoping for more money.
• 35: Per cent of British Columbians said they wanted to improve their health. 
• 21: Per cent of British Columbians want to be able to spend more time with friends and family.
• 6: Per cent of British Columbians said they want to travel more. 
• 50: Per cent of British Columbians expect things in the province to stay about the same this year.
• 52: Per cent of Gen Z wish for more money this year, making it the generation that prioritized wealth the most. 
• 50: Per cent of Baby Boomers wish for better health this year, making it the generation that prioritized health the most. 
• 39: Per cent of British Columbians expect themselves to be better in 2026.
• 25: Per cent of British Columbians said they expect things to get better in the province this year. 
• 21: Per cent of British Columbians expect things to get worse in BC in 2026.
