RUSTON, La. (AP) — DJ Dudley scored 17 points to lead Louisiana Tech, including the go-ahead basket with 22 seconds remaining in the overtime, and the Bulldogs knocked off Delaware 70-68 on Saturday.
Dudley shot 5 of 16 from the field, including 1 for 4 from 3-point range, and went 6 for 9 from the line for the Bulldogs (9-7, 2-3 Conference USA). Jaylen Fenner shot 4 of 7 from the field, including 3 for 4 from 3-point range, and went 4 for 6 from the line to add 15 points. AJ Bates shot 4 for 11, including 1 for 4 from beyond the arc to finish with 11 points.
The Fightin’ Blue Hens (5-11, 1-4) were led in scoring by Justyn Fernandez, who finished with 18 points. Delaware also got 14 points, six rebounds, nine assists and three steals from Christian Bliss. Tyler Houser finished with 12 points and six rebounds.
Dudley scored seven points in the first half and Louisiana Tech went into the break trailing 34-29. Fenner scored 15 points down the stretch in the second half to help lead Louisiana Tech to a two-point victory.
The game was tied at 63 at the end of regulation.
