Tomas Hertl, John Gibson, David Pastrnak named NHL’s three stars of the week

NEW YORK — Vegas Golden Knights centre Tomas Hertl, Detroit Red Wings goaltender John Gibson and Boston Bruins right-wing David Pastrnak have been named the NHL’s three stars of the week.

Hertl had nine points (three goals, six assists) in four games as the Golden Knights completed a perfect week and created a three-point cushion atop the Pacific Division.

Gibson went 3-0-0 with a 1.33 goals-against average, .955 save percentage, and one shutout to help the Red Wings go undefeated last week and move back into first place in the Atlantic Division.

Pastrnak also had nine points (two goals, seven assists) in four games to power the Bruins to a 3-1-0 week.

Hertl and Pastrnak are set to be teammates next month on Czechia’s squad at the Milan Cortina Olympics.
