KELOWNA – Police would like to return some suspected stolen items to the owner that were seized during a traffic stop last month.
Kelowna RCMP stopped a black Dodge Dart at the Mac's convenience store on Glenmore Road suspecting the driver was a wanted man. They found some marijuana, suspected stolen I.D. and other suspected stolen items. The driver had fled from police a few days earlier so the car was impounded.
The items found in the car include:
– A white 16GB iPad with pink Smart Case
– Acer ASPIRE laptop
– Black Targus laptop bag containing various computer component parts and cables. Several USB thumb drives containing pictures and personal documents were also inside
– Playstation 3 with power cord (no controllers or other cables)
If you think these items belong to you, contact Const. Thomson at 250-762-3300 to make arrangements to bring in proof of ownership to claim them.
A 36-year-old Kelowna man was arrested and faces potential charges of possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance. He will appear in court at a later date. The driver, a 20-year-old Edmonton woman was released without charges.
