NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Anthony McComb III’s 29 points helped Norfolk State defeat Coppin State 103-76 on Saturday.
McComb added six assists and three steals for the Spartans (10-12, 3-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Devon Ellis scored 19 points while going 5 of 8 and 8 of 10 from the free-throw line. Elijah Jamison shot 2 of 5 from the field, including 2 for 3 from 3-point range, and went 10 for 13 from the line to finish with 16 points, while adding six rebounds.
Demariontay Hall helped lead the Eagles (3-19, 1-4) with 16 points. Hussain Williams also scored 16 points and had three steals for Coppin State. Hassan Perkins also had 15 points and four steals.
