Investigators have determined the cause of a fire earlier this month at an empty store front in downtown Kamloops was suspicious.
Emergency crews were called to the blaze in the 400-block of Victoria Street at around 11:15 p.m., Jan. 14, and the fire was put out before it spread to neighbouring buildings.
RCMP said the fire doesn’t appear to be accidentally set and is now being investigated as an arson.
Police and fire department investigators are looking for video from the area taken between 10 and 11:30 p.m. on the night of the fire. They would also like to speak with anyone who may have information about the arson fire.
Anyone with information or video is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and cite file 2026-1404.
