iN PHOTOS: Para snowboarding excellence at Big White Ski Resort

The Paralympic Winter Games are around a month away and the world’s top competitors gathered at Big White Ski Resort this past week for the Welcome to Paradise FIS Para Snowboard World Cup.

Campbell River’s Tyler Turner won gold and silver medals. Turner is the reigning world and Paralympic Games champion for snowboard cross.

Turner was nominated for the Paralympic Winter Games team along with Chase Nicklin, Alex Massie, Sandrine Hamel and Philippe Nadreau.

Photographer Gavin Crawford was there to capture the action at the snowboard cross races.
