Two flights carrying passengers with COVID-19 land in Kelowna

The B.C. Centre for Disease Control is reporting two flights carrying people with COVID-19 landed in Kelowna last week.

On Jan. 4, Swoop Airlines flight 410 from Toronto to Kelowna had a COVID-19 infected person on the flight, affecting rows 25 to 31.

Air Canada flight 1125, flying from Toronto to Kelowna, Jan. 7, also reported two potential exposures, impacting rows three to four and 12 to 16.

Passengers seated near a case of COVID-19 who was recognized after arrival will no longer be directly notified of their potential exposure, according to the centre.

Passengers on a domestic flight with a COVID-19 case should self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days, according to the centre.

For more information on the COVID-19 and flight exposures, visit the CDC's website.
