Hunt on for SUV involved in Kamloops hit and run

One of two pedestrians walking in a parking lot in Kamloops last Friday was hit by an SUV after the driver made two other attempts to run the pair down.

It happened in a parking lot in the 1200 block of Summit Drive in Sahali at around 6:30 p.m., Feb. 6, according to an RCMP media release issued today, Feb. 9.

A light-coloured SUV drove past and just missed the pedestrians. They shouted at the driver who circled the lot and came back nearly missing them again.

On the third try the SUV hit one of them causing serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

RCMP are looking for witnesses and video of the hit and run.

You can call the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) and cite file 2026-3870.
