Kelowna Rockets outscored by Royals in Victoria

VICTORIA – The Victoria Royals defeated the Kelowna Rockets 5-2 on Saturday night in Victoria, earning a split of two weekend games between the WHL BC Division rivals.

The Royals scored four times in the third period to earn the win, snapping a 1-1 tie after two periods of play.

Leon Draisaitl scored his 11th of the season for Kelowna and rookie Dillon Dube had his 15th of the year as the
Rockets dropped the second of three straight games between the teams.

The Rockets won 3-2 on Friday and now the team's will head to Kelowna for a Wednesday night meeting.

The Rockets fell to 46-10-3-1 on the season and remain in first place overall in the WHL.
