A man was stabbed during a robbery near a busy intersection in Kelowna earlier this week.
Paramedics were first on the scene of the assault at the intersection of Harvey Avenue and Capri Street at around 12:42 p.m., March 3, according to an RCMP media release issued, March 5.
RCMP said the victim didn’t know the assailant who was arrested.
No word from RCMP on the condition of the victim.
Brady Dolphin of Kelowna is in custody charged with robbery and failure to comply with probation order, assault with a weapon and aggravated assault. He’ll remain behind bars until his next court appearance later this month.
“The coordinated police response resulted in an unpredictable situation being brought to a safe conclusion,” Kelowna RCMP media liaison officer Cpl. Steven Lang said the release.
Anyone who witnessed the stabbing, or has dash cam footage along Harvey Avenue between Burtch Road and Gordon Drive between 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m., is asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP General Investigation Section at 250-762-3300 and quote file number 2026-1283.
