Problem drug house raided by Kelowna RCMP

Guns and drugs were seized and five people were arrested during a raid by RCMP at a home in Kelowna on Wednesday.

Officers with the local crime reduction unit executed a search warrant, March 4, at what police called a “problem residence” in the 600 block of Coronation Avenue, according to an RCMP media release.

Officers seized eight firearms, an undisclosed number of imitation firearms, a 3D printed firearm and 3D printer, a large quantity of ammunition, 400 grams of crystal meth, 100 g of cocaine and fentanyl, 500 prescription pills and $5,000 in cash.

“This residence was linked to fuelling the supply of toxic drugs, primarily within Kelowna’s downtown core. Our investigation revealed that is has been a significant contributor to the presence of these drugs in the area,” Sgt. Scott Powrie with the crime reduction unit said in the release.

Five suspects were arrested but no word yet what, if any, charges they face.
