

Man charged year after car crash killed a 62-year-old near Cranbrook
More than a year after a fatal crash near Cranbrook, the BC Prosecution Service has charged an Alberta man.
Dany Dube, 50, has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and his first appearance in court is set for April 13, according to a press release from the RCMP’s BC Highway Patrol.
Officers were called to Highway 3/93 near Pritchard Road at 7 p.m. on Feb. 11, 2025, when a 62-year-old Wardner woman was killed in a collision between a white Dodge pickup and a grey Pontiac.
Investigators forwarded the evidence from the crash to the BC Prosecution Service and the charge was approved a year later on Feb. 11, 2026.
BC Highway Patrol did not identify the woman who was killed in the crash.
