Thieves hit four Kamloops businesses looking for the same thing

KAMLOOPS – RCMP came up shorthanded in its search for suspects who broke into at least four businesses overnight.

General Grants Bottle Depot on Columbia St, Colour Your World on Dalhousie Dr, Value Village on Seymour St and Golfland on Valleyview Dr were all hit and Staff Sgt. Fran Bethell says police think it was the same thieves. They pried open doors to get in but were gone before police arrived.

"Store owners are still trying to determine what was stolen but money seemed to be the primary target," Bethell says.

Police got some clues including fingerprints and video evidence as well as break in tools left behind at one of the businesses. Bethell said "police have some good leads to pursue."
