Woman arrested after man hit by vehicle in downtown Kamloops
A pedestrian was seriously hurt after he was hit by a vehicle in downtown Kamloops this morning.
RCMP say at around 11:41 a.m. today, Feb. 2, a man was struck in the area of 3 Avenue and Nicola Street.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, according to an RCMP press release.
"Police are in the early stages of their investigation as they continue to gather physical and eyewitness evidence at the scene," Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn said in the release. "Although the investigation is still ongoing at this time, initial findings suggest the pedestrian and the driver were known to each other and the circumstances surrounding the incident may have involved criminality."
A woman was arrested and is in police custody.
