Kelowna woman wins $100K playing Keno

A self-taught Kelowna painter scored a big win last month in a Keno draw.

Denise Bray said she is “extremely grateful” after discovering she won $100,000 from a Keno draw Jan. 6, according to a B.C. Lottery Corporation news release.

The Kelowna resident, who re-located from England a few years ago, purchased the ticket from Capri Centre on Gordon Drive.

“It was the evening and I was checking my tickets on the website,” she said, in the news release. “As I was going through each ticket, I saw that nearly all my numbers had come up. I started to get really excited.”

Bray couldn’t wait to tell her husband, daughter and then her son who lives in the U.K.

She is planning to save the winnings for now.
