Popular Kelowna bowling alley and pub closed due to COVID-19 exposure

A popular Kelowna bowling alley and pub has temporarily shut down after a COVID-19 exposure.

McCurdy Bowling Centre and Freddy's Brewpub announced the closure yesterday, Feb. 8, in a Facebook post.

"For the safety of customers and staff our entire facility is closed until further notice. Once Interior Health approves a re-opening date, we will be back in action," the post reads.

McCurdy Bowling Centre was operating at 50% capacity due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Shoes, bowling balls and touch points are cleaned and disinfected after each use, according to the bowling centre's website. Masks must be worn at all times even while bowling, but can be removed while seated while seated to consume food and drink, as per provincial health regulations.

Provincial health orders banning social gatherings and mandating masks indoors continue until the end of the month.
