Baggie of drugs found in Kelowna hotel lobby leads cops to dealer

A 23-year-old man was arrested in Kelowna after a bag of what is believed to be crystal meth was discovered in a Kelowna hotel lobby yesterday.

RCMP were called to the hotel yesterday, Feb. 9, after a report of illicit drugs were believed to have been left behind in the lobby, according to an RCMP media release.

Police pinpointed a suspect who was soon after pulled over in a traffic stop, during which a search of the suspect's vehicle discovered approximately one kilogram of what is believed to be fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine.

The suspect has been released from custody without charges while the investigation continues, which includes a full analysis of the substances seized by police.
