TORONTO — Toronto manager John Schneider was ejected in the fifth inning of the Blue Jays’ game against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday night.
Schneider came out of the dugout after Blue Jays starter Kevin Gausman was charged with a balk.
The skipper had words with home-plate umpire Dan Merzel, who ejected him from the game.
Schneider threw his hat to the ground in frustration and continued to voice his frustration with Merzel before returning to the dugout.
The Dodgers led 2-0 at the time.
The near-capacity crowd at Rogers Centre gave Schneider a hearty ovation as he walked off the field.
