In response, Foodbanks Canada gave thanks in the tongue-in-cheek way that’s fitting for the celebrity.
“You continue to be not only our favourite Canadian but also our favourite superhero (sorry, Hugh Jackman),” reads the tweet.
Reynolds and Lively's philanthropy has made several headlines throughout the pandemic, including for a $200,000 donation to support Canadian Indigenous women through St. Francis Xavier University's Coady Institute.
The couple also. earlier donated a combined $1 million to Feeding America and Food Banks Canada, and $200,000 to the NAACP's legal defence fund following the death of George Floyd.
