RCMP looking into suspicious fire at Lake Country bank

The RCMP have been called to investigate the cause of a suspicious early morning fire that damaged the ATM foyer at a Lake Country bank.

Lake Country firefighters responded to a fire alarm call at approximately 3:57 a.m. today, March 2, at the Toronto Dominion Bank at 9890 Main St., according to Lake Country Fire Department media release.

Fire chief Steve Windsor said the blaze was burning in the bank's foyer next to the automated teller machine.

The fire caused considerable damage and is being investigated by RCMP, Windsor said.

The fire department responded to the blaze with two engines and a command truck.
