If you google Vernon weather, you'll be greeted with a parade of suns marching straight into the weekend.
That's good news for Vernon resident Jerry Beauregard, 74, who's eager to hit the pavement on his bike. He says he'll be out enjoying the rays and working up a sweat this weekend.
Doug Lundquist, Environment Canada meteorologist, says warm air from Hawaii is making its way to Vernon.
"Right now, we're at below average temperatures, but this weekend, we'll be well over," Lundquist says.
The average high this time of year is 18 C, though Lundquist says we've still seen a typical spring weather pattern.
Environment Canada is predicting 21 C on Friday, 23 C Saturday, and 25 C on Sunday. Temperatures are expected to climb another few degrees, reaching 29 C on Monday.
Despite the warm days, Lundquist warns to watch out for frost at night.
"We could still get a frost tonight, or this weekend," Lundquist says.
