Economic confidence at 16-month high, reverses 3 quarters of decline: report

TORONTO – Canadian consumers are getting more optimistic about the economy, a trend reversing three quarters of decline, according to a new report.

The online survey, which collected 1,500 responses earlier this month, found that nearly two-thirds the respondents indicated they believe the economy is growing, the highest reading since July 2011.

Results of the survey conducted Nov. 6 to 21 by the Gandalf Group are contained in the most recent Consumerology Report by Bensimon Byrne.
